We bought a beautiful 11-acre property on the edge of the Kisatchie National Forest in 2005.  We were city folk and this was a huge leap. But the forest is wise and we were open to it.

Almost immediately we built a guest cabin, small but perfect -- a comfortable retreat from the world, filled with the sounds and smells of the Kisatchie.

It was reserved for friends and family until 2018, when we opened it as an AirBnB until 2022. Now Magnolia Cabin is exclusively a midterm rental with a minimum term of one month. Nearly everyone who stays appreciates its gentle qualities, and they leave a little calmer, little happier for it.
